BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES
De Beers Group (De Beers) is a leading diamond company with expertise spanning the exploration, mining, sorting,
valuing, sales and marketing of diamonds. Guided by our purpose, Make Life Brilliant, we are committed to creating
lasting socio-economic value in the countries and communities where we operate.
The De Beers Global Sightholder Sales Academy relocated from London to Gaborone in 2013, with a primary focus
on providing technical diamond training and education to employees and external stakeholders. Since then, the
Academy has evolved in response to changing customer needs, market trends and advances in technology.
The Academy is registered with the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) as a Conventional Education and Training
Provider (ETP) and is ISO 9001:2015 certified by Alpha Certification Services
EOI REQUIREMENTS
Submissions are requested for companies with the Human Resource Development Council accredited courses to
provide training and related services to the De Beers Academy.
Our objective is to identify high-quality training providers capable of delivering practical interventions that support
skills development and professional growth.
We are interested in programmes that are tailored to meet organizational and workforce development needs.
All interested parties should submit an EOI indicating their capability, resources and experience in delivering services
of this nature.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Successful candidates will be able to effectively deliver the following responsibilities:
- Provide training services, conference and teambuilding services
- Provide all related supporting documents to enable De Beers to facilitate claims from the HRDF
- Track participant progress, assess the effectiveness of learning activities, and provide actionable feedback to the De Beers team, as requested.
- Monitor participant engagement and identify areas where additional support is needed
- Provide post training reports and improvements to De Beers where necessary
CRITERIA
- A fully registered company in the Republic of Botswana
- Proof of valid accredited courses with the relevant authorities in Botswana (Human Resource Development Council &
Botswana Qualifications Authority) - Provide a list of facilitators and/or assessors with relevant qualifications & experience
SUBMISSIONS
All submissions should be sent via email and titled Provision of Accredited Training Services Providers and must be
emailed to &DBGSSProcurement@debeersgroup.com no later than 15:00hrs on the 20 November 2026.
Late submissions, physical submissions, facsimile, telephone or telefaxed submissions will not be accepted.
